Obtaining an Invitation for a B10 Visa (Private Matters)
The B10 visa category is intended for entry into Kazakhstan for private matters. It is issued to the following categories of individuals:

  1. Individuals traveling to Kazakhstan for private matters.
  2. Citizens of 48 economically developed and politically stable countries.
  3. Individuals traveling to Kazakhstan for funerals or due to the illness of close relatives (with supporting documents).
  4. Spouses, children (including adopted ones), or parents of Kazakhstani citizens (with documents confirming the relationship).
  5. Spouses and children who are not ethnic Kazakhs but are traveling with ethnic Kazakhs.
  6. Former compatriots (with supporting documents).

Key Features of the B10 Visa

The B10 visa is issued for up to 90 days, allowing the holder to stay in Kazakhstan for the entire validity period. A multiple-entry B10 visa can be issued for up to 180 days, with a maximum stay of 90 days per entry.

An invitation for a B10 visa is not required for the following categories:

Invitation Submission Rules

The invitation must be submitted:
  • No earlier than 1 year before the intended date of entry.
  • No later than 5 working days before the entry date.

Documents Required for an Invitation

  1. Three copies of the invitation in written form and a completed table in electronic format.
  2. A copy of the foreigner’s passport.
  3. A copy of the identity document of the inviting person.
  4. A formal request in the approved format from the inviting person.
  5. A receipt for the payment of the fee (0.5 MCI; in 2024 – 1,846 KZT).

Note: Migration authorities may request additional documents depending on specific circumstances.

Submission Procedure

Documents are submitted to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan at the location of the planned trip.

Important Points:

  • The table must be completed strictly in accordance with the passport data.
  • The table is uploaded to a unified database, so formatting and punctuation requirements must be met.
  • If errors or inconsistencies are found, the system will reject the document, and the invitation will not be accepted.
An invitation with a visa support number is issued within 5 working days after the documents are submitted. If a more detailed review is required, the processing time may be extended to 1 month upon request from the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan (KNB).
